I manage a very small hedge fund in its fourth year of operations. I generally invest in long and short positions in listed U.S. equities.
Previously, I have been a Managing Director in M&A with a bulge bracket investment bank, a partner in a medium-sized leveraged buyout firm, and a management consultant with a leading strategy consulting firm.
I have an M.Litt. degree in Economics from Oxford University, where I specialized in development economics and was a Marshall Scholar. I received my AB degree from Harvard College where I concentrated in Economics and Social Studies and graduated magna cum laude.
In my mis-spent youth, I travelled extensively in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. During this period, I lived in Africa for a total of 5 months, studied Chinese in Taiwan for three months, travelled overland from Europe to Taiwan and back, and travelled in Peru and Bolivia. As a business person, I have spent a lot of time in Hong Kong and Japan over the course of many years.
Though I have travelled a lot, I was born and raised in Manhattan
I am married and have two daughters.
