Excellent Friedman column in today's NYT


He convincingly argues that India should be elevated to the UNSC in the place of France. His rationale?   That, aside from being the world's largest democracy, largest Hindu nation, and second largest Moslem state, India is serious about world affairs and its own place in them.   Unlike France, which seems to prefer being different, being unique, to being responsible.   Read the full text here.
