Some British Mustlims Still Support London Tube Bombers

According to the Sunday Times (UK), some elements of Britain's muslim community continue to approve of the London Tube bombers. Hamid Ali, spiritual leader of the mosque in West Yorkshire where the suicide bombers worshipped, told an undercover reporter of Bengladeshi origin that:

“What they [the bombers] did was good. They have warned that we are here, we Muslims. People have taken notice that we are here. They died so that people would take notice . . . big meetings and conferences make no change at all. With this, at least people’s ears have pricked up.”

The Imam also told the reporter that the bombers were the spiritual "children" of Abdullah al-Faisal, a radical Muslim cleric, convicted of inciting murder and racial hatred in 2003. Al-Faisal, a Jamaican-born convert to Islam, is eligible for parole from his six-year sentence beginning next week.
